What do I need to do to attend?

  • Let us know if you plan to come. Email foundation@phimu.org & include CHICAGO in the subject line.
  • Book your hotel early – headquarters hotel is Hotel Julian Hotel Julian is located inside The Loop near “The Bean” and Millennium Park. Use this link to book directly for 15% off the best rate & complimentary early check-in. It’s also bookable via American Express points at ~37,000/night.
  • Book your own travel – planes, trains or automobiles!
  • If you’re staying the weekend, the Chicago CityPass is a great option to save money on multiple attractions & avoid lines.

Thursday, July 13
  • Arrival day
  • Meet up at Hotel Julian bar (About Last Knife) for Happy Hour specials & group up for dinner out.
  • Dinner on your own. [Janeen and Dave will probably go to The Berghoff for German food.]
Friday, July 14
  • Breakfast at hotel or nearby
  • Early Birds can visit 360 Chicago
  • 11 am – Meet up for opening at the Art Institute of Chicago. ($25 regular admission or CityPass)
  • Afternoon on your own – shopping or other Chicago sights (We’ll probably hit the historic Adler Planetarium)
  • Meet up at a bar for cocktails or afternoon views at SkyDeck Chicago (CityPass) – it’s on the way to Greektown
  • Group dinner at Greek Islands restaurant in Greektown. Includes family style dinner & nonalcoholic drinks. Reservation & prepayment required.
Saturday, July 15
  • Breakfast at the hotel or nearby
  • Shedd Aquarium opens at 9. Tickets ~$40 or CityPass
  • Afternoon on your own – shopping or other Chicago sights
  • Meet up for cocktails at TBD and group up for dinner out
  • Dinner on your own
