Call for Nominations for National Council Officers and Foundation Trustees

 

National Council officers and Foundation Trustees will be elected at the 2020 National Convention. Both boards are seeking nominations.

Following a recommendation from the Elections Study Committee that was formed after the 2018 National Convention, the Fraternity and Foundation Nominating Committees will work together. Through this coordinated effort, both Nominating Committees will use the same Candidate Information Form and have the same timeline. Each Committee will operate in accordance with the policies outlined in their respective governing documents.

Nomination Process

Candidates for these Fraternity and Foundation leadership positions will self-nominate. All applicants will submit a Candidate Information Form, a resume and three references. All required information must be submitted by Monday, February 3, 2020. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Qualifications for National Council

-In good standing with the Fraternity

-For Vice President candidates, previous service as an officer of the Fraternity as specified in Section 5 of Article II of the Phi Mu Fraternity Constitution and Bylaws

-For National President candidates, have served at least one term as a member of National Council within the three previous biennia

Qualifications for Foundation Trustees

-In good standing with the Fraternity

-A member of Phi Mu Foundation

-Fraternity or Foundation volunteer experience in addition to non-Phi Mu professional experience that complements the Foundation’s mission

-Willing to join the 1852 Society Giving Program as an annual contributor of $1,852 or more, if elected
