After years of preparation and financial consultations, Phi Mu Foundation led an extensive capital campaign, “The Campaign for Phi Mu”, to raise funds to establish a lasting legacy for Phi Mu – a National Headquarters. This new home would help Phi Mu Fraternity achieve its vision to be recognized as a premier women’s fraternity.
The campaign generated more than $4 million that built, furnished and endowed a new headquarters– all made possible by generous gifts from donors. Contributions made to the campaign turned Phi Mu’s dreams into a bricks and mortar reality – a beautiful, permanent home for Phi Mu Fraternity and Phi Mu Foundation.
Phi Mu’s National Headquarters was completed in June 2005 in Peachtree City, Georgia, a planned community south of Atlanta. The official dedication of the building was held on September 24, 2005. Phi Mu Fraternity and Phi Mu Foundation share equal ownership in the beautiful 31,672 square foot facility located on five wooded acres.
The Headquarters building was built to meet specific needs and allows the Fraternity and Foundation to better serve both collegiate and alumnae members. In addition to office space for professional staff, the Headquarters houses a library, museum, conference rooms, archives, Carnation Collection boutique and the Leona & Lewis Hughes Leadership Development Center. The Leadership Development Center is equipped with state-of-the-art presentation equipment. Visitors and staff members enjoy traveling on Peachtree City’s 100 miles of recreational paths using the pink Phi Mu golf cart!
A visit to Peachtree City, Georgia, will provide the opportunity for a personal tour of Headquarters. We hope to see you soon!
