December 6-17, 2025 on Seabourn Pursuit

Join us for an 11 day adventure on brand-new Seabourn Pursuit. Book individually but know that several Phi Mu sisters (and some brave husbands) will be on the ship with you for frozen Fun & Sisterhood. If Antarctica is on your Bucket List or you just want to nail your Seventh Continent, adventurous travelers will get the trip of a lifetime. As of mid-April 2024, we already have 12 Phi Mu travelers on this trip. Special group rates, amenities and shipboard credit if deposited by July 9, 2024.

FAQ

Why is Foundation sponsoring travel again?

We want to bring more fun and sisterhood back to our donor community. Many alumni associations also sponsor travel for fun and community. And yes, we will talk to you about Foundation while on our trips!

What if I don’t know my plans for sure?

Please sign up for the email list for any trip you are interested in and you will be notified via email when we have more details worked out. Or keep an eye on the travel website & social media.

Are husbands, friends & family welcome?

Yes, for almost all trips. Our trips are mostly designed for adults, but all are welcome.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, and you have many options (see below). You should also check with your medical insurance provider to understand what they cover should you have issues outside of the USA. Medicare generally does not provide coverage outside of the USA.

Phi Mu Foundation does not carry travel insurance for you, nor do we have an agreement with a preferred insurance provider.

With our Travel Providers:

For AHI Travel trips, AHI offers a program that covers incidents during the trip. It does NOT cover incidents that happen before departure. Medical coverage is limited.

For Alaska, Oceania also offers a program run by Aon insurance.

Premium Credit Cards (AmEx Platinum, Chase Reserve, etc.) usually also provide some travel insurance for trips paid for on their card. I always book trips on my premium card just for this service. Check your card’s website for what they cover.

Travel Insurance packages can include insurance for just this trip or for the full year.  Travel insurance comparison websites include Squaremouth and InsureMyTrip. US News recently ranked all travel insurance companies here.

Insurance is something you hope you’ll never need but are glad when you need it.

Are the trips accessible for those with limited mobility?

This depends on the trip. The cruises are an excellent choice for the mobility-challenged, though you should bring your own companion if needed.

Why aren't there more summer trips that are convenient for educators?

We selected trips based on when it was best to go & when our vendors had space. 

Can I select my roommate?

Of course, or if you need one, we can pair you up.  Note that some of the trips are ‘no single supplement’ so you can have a cabin by yourself for no extra charge.

Does the cost include airfare?

No, but the vendors can book for you or you can use credit card miles.

Will you add more trips?

Yes, we will planning to add more trips.
