True to Phi Mu is the Foundation’s refreshed fundraising initiative that combines two of our most popular Annual Fund campaigns – chapter fundraising and our annual day of giving, 18 Hours & 52 Minutes of Giving – into one powerful effort.
But True to Phi Mu is about more than fundraising. It’s about building a culture of philanthropy, inspiring greater engagement from collegiate and alumnae members, and ensuring a sustainable future of support for generations of Phi Mu sisters.
On March 4, we hosted the Founders Day Chapter Challenge, a one-day fundraising event designed to strengthen the bond between alumnae and collegiate chapters.
For years, our alumnae have asked for a way to support the chapters they love, and the Founders Day Chapter Challenge helped answer that call. Throughout the day, alumnae and friends of Phi Mu showed up in support of the chapters closest to their hearts.
While March 4 marked this special day of giving, support does not stop there. Alumnae and friends can continue to give in support of the chapter of their choice through June 1.
All gifts count toward a chapter’s overall fundraising efforts and the race to the finish line on June 1 to determine which chapters will be recognized as the Top Contributing Chapter for the True to Phi Mu campaign this year.

Why Fundraising for Phi Mu Foundation Matters
True to Phi Mu represents the heart of Phi Mu Foundation’s mission: Sisters Helping Sisters. By combining fundraising efforts across chapters and generations, we strengthen our bond of sisterhood and ensure that members have the resources, scholarships, leadership training, and support they need to thrive.
Leadership Circle
Generous sisters who made leadership gifts of $500 or more during the Founders Day Chapter Challenge are proudly recognized as members of the Leadership Circle. We’d like to extend a special thank you to our Leadership Circle members for committing to the lifetime development of Phi Mu women. If you would like to join the Leadership Circle, please contact Angel Sorochak at asorochak@phimufoundation.org.

True to Phi Mu Fundraising Brackets
How True to Phi Mu Works
- As part of Phi Mu Fraternity’s Commitment to Excellence (CTE), all collegiate chapters are required to make a donation to Phi Mu Foundation each year.
- Each chapter has been placed in a fundraising bracket by chapter size. Every chapter within the bracket will have the same goal. Goals will be shared directly with the chapter’s Philanthropy Chair.
- Chapters have until June 1, 2026, to fulfill their goal. While there is no penalty for not reaching the goal, every chapter is strongly encouraged to participate. You can check on the progress of your chapter’s goal here.
- The Philanthropy Chair will work with the Chapter Treasurer to ensure donations are sent to Phi Mu Foundation.
- Recognition will be given to the Top Contributing Chapter and the chapter with the Highest Increase in Fundraising of each bracket at the 2026 National Convention.
- Alumnae chapters are encouraged to participate in True to Phi Mu by fundraising to support Phi Mu Foundation.
- Alumnae chapters will be part of the Founders Day Chapter Challenge on March 4, 2026, competing to see who can rise to the top of the leaderboard in their bracket.
