Calling All Social Media Fans!

If you enjoy posting about Phi Mu on social media and would like to volunteer for the Foundation from the comfort of your keyboard, this could be the right committee for you!

We are looking for a group of dedicated volunteers to help promote the lifetime development of Phi Mu women on social media platforms as Phi Mu Foundation Social Media Advocates. Social Media Advocates will have access to social media training and insider access to Foundation news, while they work together to share ideas on how we can promote the mission of Phi Mu Foundation.

If you’re interested in serving as a Foundation Social Media Advocate, please fill out this interest survey by August 9, 2019. This volunteer committee placement will serve from September 2019-April 2020.

If you have any questions about the Social Media Advocate program, please email Communications Strategist Jessi Horne.

Supporting Academic Excellence with Scholarships

Through the incredible generosity of Foundation donors, we’re able to offer more than 100 academic scholarship opportunities to eligible collegiate and alumnae members each year in support of their educational goals. We’d like to thank the Foundation Scholarship Committee for their diligent work in reviewing and scoring the hundreds of applications we receive each year: Melissa Mancini, Alpha Epsilon (chair), Kate Miller, Alpha Iota; Erin Clements, Phi Gamma; JoNell Ault, Alpha Pi; Alysia Ward, Alpha Kappa; and Pam McGrath, Gamma Omicron. We are grateful for your commitment to the scholarship program!

We are pleased to announce that we awarded $159,000 in scholarships to 151 members for the 2019-20 academic year!

“I could never have guessed five years ago when I was a Phi that Phi Mu would have changed my life and benefited me in such huge ways. Phi Mu gave me my best friends, leadership experiences, and the opportunity to find my passion for working with children on the Spectrum through our philanthropic work with CMNH. Now, even as an alum, Phi Mu is pouring into me in the form of this scholarship. Thanks to the Foundation, there is one less thing for me to worry about as I prepare for my final year in graduate school. I am so grateful and thankful for Phi Mu Foundation and hope that one day I can return the love and generosity they have shown to me throughout the last five years.”

Ellie Tuck, Theta Epsilon, Kennesaw State University

“Graduate school is very stressful and very expensive. One of my major concerns when applying to different schools was the cost I would have to pay. Receiving a scholarship from Phi Mu Foundation has truly lifted a load off of my shoulders. Now instead of focusing all of my attention on how I would pay for my education, I can focus on what really matters: my degree.”

Unna Yared, Kappa Omicron, Georgia Southern University-Armstrong Campus
