2018 M3 Campaign

Every March, sisters and friends of Phi Mu join together to honor our Founders – Mary DuPont Lines, Mary Myrick Daniel and Martha Hardaway Redding – and support our sisterhood with gifts to the Phi Mu Foundation M3 Campaign. Since 2011, the M3 Campaign has raised more than $1.6 million to help further the lifetime development of women through Phi Mu’s leadership, scholarship, philanthropic and educational programs, and historical preservation.

We encourage all Phi Mu collegiate chapters to participate in the M3 Campaign during the month of March with 100% participation – which means that 100% of the chapter’s active members would fundraise or make a personal gift of $18.52 to the Foundation. Each chapter that participates at 100% will get recognition on our website, social media pages and in the Aglaia … and will also receive a custom Phi Mu Foundation M3 t-shirt for every member in the chapter. Last year, 128 Phi Mu collegiate chapters participated at 100% and helped to raise more than $380,000 for the 2017 M3 Campaign!

While the M3 Campaign has traditionally served as a collegiate-focused effort, alumnae chapters are also invited to join the fun! Both the collegiate chapter and the alumnae chapter with the largest overall contribution to the M3 Campaign will receive special recognition in the Aglaia and at the 2018 Phi Mu National Convention, in addition to an exclusive sisterhood event hosted by the next Phi Mu National President and Phi Mu Foundation President. Alumnae and friends who make an individual gift of $100 or more to the M3 Campaign will also receive a limited-edition gift from the Foundation.

Beginning on March 1, we’ll be updating our M3 Campaign webpage daily with all the latest campaign news, including the 100% participation list and the Top 3 Fundraising Collegiate and Alumnae Chapters in each Phi Mu area. In the meantime, keep up with the latest Foundation news on social media. You can find us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @PhiMuFoundation. Make sure you tag us in your M3 photos and use the hashtag #MaryMaryMartha!

Many of the scholarships we offer are unrestricted – meaning they are open for any eligible member who applies – but, we also have other scholarships that have been established for specific chapters, fields of study, states of residence or certain colleges/universities. Additionally, there are also merit- and need-based scholarships available. You can view a full list of the 2018-19 Phi Mu Foundation Scholarships here.

Giving with Purpose

When budget cuts slashed the state-funded scholarship program in her area, it left many women advised by Alpha Area Membership Director and Phi Mu Foundation Member Marisol O’ Neal to seek other sources of financial assistance … and she knew just where to turn.

Make a Difference for Phi Mu!

Through the contributions of generous sisters and friends just like you, we are empowering thousands of women each year to become the very best versions of themselves. When you invest in our sisterhood, you are strengthening the foundation of our shared values for women across the country and providing them with the opportunity to grow as confident, vibrant leaders.

“I believe each of us has been given our Phi Mu experience by someone that chose to believe in us, and now it’s our time to choose to believe in others.”

Phi Mu Chapter Consultant Molly Young, Kappa Mu, Georgia Southern University

With your gift, you can make a tremendous difference in the life of a woman just like Molly … and as a result, the hundreds of Phi Mu sisters who are inspired by her leadership as she travels to collegiate chapters across the country. Thank you for believing in the legacy of our sisterhood and the life-changing experience it provides for each of us.
