5 Easy Steps to Help Collegiate Chapters With the M3 Campaign
Does your collegiate chapter need a few tips to help plan for the M3 Campaign? Check out these five easy steps that will set the chapter up for success in no time:
- Encourage Them to Participate at 100%
- When chapters participate at 100%, each active member on their roster is committing to making a contribution of $18.52 to the M3 Campaign. Every chapter with 100% participation will receive a commemorative M3 Tank Top for each of their members just in time for summer!
- Help Them Determine a Giving Strategy
- Chapters can reach 100% participation in a variety of ways. They can ask each sister to contribute $18.52, host a fundraiser and/or use chapter funds. March is a busy month for most of our chapters with midterms and Spring Break, so establishing a giving strategy now will help save time and energy later.
- Visit the Leadership Center for M3 Materials
- All supporting M3 materials (including the presentation deck from the webinar) can be found on the Philanthropy tab on the Leadership Center. This includes the M3 Contribution Remittance Form and Tips for Fundraising for M3.
- Once the chapter is ready to submit their contribution, they must submit ONE check, along with the M3 Contribution Remittance Form (including any applicable fundraising information) and the chapter roster to: Phi Mu Foundation, M3 Campaign, 400 Westpark Dr., Peachtree City, GA.
- Schedule the Phi Mu Foundation Radiance Program
- If you haven’t already, aim to schedule the Phi Mu Foundation Radiance Program during the month of March. This will help our members better understand the mission of Phi Mu Foundation and how campaigns like M3 help us reinvest in our members.
- We’re encouraging our members to ‘go social’ and post photos and videos on social media that highlight how your chapter is supporting the M3 Campaign. Tag @PhiMuFoundation and use the campaign hashtag #MaryMaryMartha!
If you have any questions regarding the M3 Campaign and your chapter’s participation, please contact Director of Development Kristin Tofanelli at ktofanelli@phimu.org or 770-632-2122.
Thank you for your support of Phi Mu Foundation and the M3 Campaign!
Phi Mu Foundation Names Executive Director Anji Roe Wood, Gamma Nu
The Phi Mu Foundation Board of Trustees is Pleased to Announce Anji Roe Wood as its new Executive Director
Anji comes to the Foundation from Phi Mu Fraternity, where she served as Director of Alumnae Engagement. In this role, Anji successfully managed the alumnae department, including the ‘Forever Faithful’ campaign, which focuses on increasing alumnae support for critical Fraternity leadership programming. Anji also led the charge on increasing engagement opportunities for Phi Mu alumnae across the country with the successful launch of the ‘Cocktails and Conversations’ tour in 2015, focused on celebrating our sisterhood and the achievements of vibrant Phi Mu women.
Prior to joining the Phi Mu National Headquarters team, Anji was Director of Marketing and Communications for the Southeastern Council of Foundations (SECF) in Atlanta. During her time at SECF, she played a significant role in cultivating relationships between the council and hundreds of philanthropic organizations and leaders throughout the Southeast.
“We are pleased to welcome Anji to our Phi Mu Foundation team. Her passion for Phi Mu, energy and experience is exactly what we need to further our mission of the lifetime development of women,” says Phi Mu Foundation President Diane Eggert, Zeta Iota. “I’d like to thank Trustees Andie Burchett Kash, Delta Eta, and Pamela Kropf Wadsworth, Eta Iota, for leading the Search Committee efforts. Through their guidance and dedication to this process, we were able to successfully complete our search with merit.”
As a member of Phi Mu and a current headquarters employee, Anji has a unique understanding and appreciation for the importance of a solid working relationship between Phi Mu Fraternity and Phi Mu Foundation. Her experience will be paramount in enhancing the collaborative efforts between the two entities.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work in partnership with our leadership, staff, volunteers and donors to serve the Foundation and share the inspiring stories of its powerful impact,” says Wood. “With the strategic plan as our roadmap, and the mission as our guide, there is no limit to what Phi Mu Foundation can accomplish in support of our vibrant membership.”
A returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Anji received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Communications from Elon University and now resides in Newnan, Georgia, with her husband and two children. Anji will be based out of the Phi Mu National Headquarters in nearby Peachtree City, Georgia, and will report to the Phi Mu Foundation Board of Trustees.
The 2016 M3 Campaign Begins Now!
There’s no better way to celebrate our 164 years of Phi Mu sisterhood than by honoring the leadership of our Founders – Mary Myrick Daniel, Mary DuPont Lines and Martha Hardaway Redding – with the 6th annual M3 Campaign.
For the 31 days of March, collegians, alumnae and friends of Phi Mu are invited to support our sisterhood with a gift of $18.52 or more to the M3 Campaign in honor of a collegiate chapter of their choice…and for the first time this year, alumnae and friends may also choose to designate their contribution in honor of an alumnae chapter/community. The M3 Campaign raises funds for Phi Mu Foundation, which in turn furthers the lifetime development of women through Phi Mu’s leadership, scholarship, philanthropic and educational programs, and historical preservation.
Collegiate chapters who participate in the 2016 M3 Campaign at 100% (meaning 100% of the active members in their chapter each give $18.52 to M3) will receive a custom M3 tank top for each member just in time for summer!
Alumnae and friends who make a gift of$100 or more to M3 in honor of the collegiate chapter and alumnae chapter/community of their choice, will receive a Phi Mu Foundation Lunch Clutch.
Both the collegiate chapter and the alumnae chapter/community with the largest contribution to the M3 Campaign will receive special recognition in the Aglaia and at the 2016 National Convention, in addition to an exclusive sisterhood event hosted by the next Phi Mu National President and Phi Mu Foundation President.
Mark your calendars for March 1 and don’t miss your chance to be part of something incredible! In the meantime, keep up with the latest on the M3 Campaign on social media. You can find us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @PhiMuFoundation. Make sure you tag us in your M3 photos and use the hashtag #MaryMaryMartha!
